Why can’t many Japanese speak English?

To answer this question, you have to look at how English is being taught in Japan.

In the many schools all across Japan, there are many students who’s learning English from Japanese teachers who can’t properly speak and pronounce English correctly, as well as learning English from many Native English speakers who’s only goal is to explore Japan as a type of long term vacation while working in an English private school to make money to supply themselves with the necessary income that is needed to live in the country.

The other reason is because the English language is not being taught as a language, but as a type of subject to pass an English written test and or exam without much emphasis being put on speaking in English correctly in a conversational way.

As long as English is being taught just to pass an English test and or exam without any emphasis being put on daily communication while relying heavily on an electrical English dictionary and or translator, Japanese people will always struggle when it comes to freely speaking in English in a conversational way.

As long as there’s Japanese teachers teaching English who can’t speak in English correctly with the correct pronunciation, there will always be a problem when it comes to speaking in English in a conversational way.

As long as there’s native English speakers who’s not really very passionate about teaching English correctly by helping their students to improve their communicational skills, as well as their pronunciation, there will always be a problem when it comes to speaking in English in a conversational way.

And…

As long as there isn’t any pressure being put on learning English as a second language for daily communication, there will always be a problem when it comes to speaking in English in a conversational way.

As for those who likes to make a lot of excuses for not learning English like how English should be learned, it’s just another way to say that you are just another person who’s not motivated to improve yourself and or to help yourself to move forward.

And as for Japanese children who’s learning English, there shouldn’t be any excuses for not pushing them to learn English like how they should be pushed to learn English.

Japanese parents need to put in the necessary time that is needed to get their kids to learn English just as much as they are learning Japanese.

And why is that?

It’s because when they are long gone, English will become a necessary language, which it already is right now, that is consistently being used to communicate with others who’s not speaking in the same language as them.

Without English, it will become extremely very difficult for one to promote their home made products and or sightseeing spots that’s of interest to the many non native Japanese speakers, both in Japan and outside of Japan.

Without English, there will be a huge problem with air travel that’s bringing non native Japanese speakers to Japan to visit the many tourist spots all over the country, which will cause a lot of chaos amongst the pilots of the airplanes that they are flying.

Without English, no one in Japan could smoothly and accurately learn about whats going on outside from their country.

And…

Without English, there probably would be a huge problem when it comes to many other things that is dependent upon the English language.

No matter how anyone may look at this, and or try to make this to seem like it’s just another hoax to get people to learn English, this is something that is as true as anything could ever be.

A lot of very smart Japanese English speakers know this to be true, but are unwilling to speak out on this, due to the fact that they are afraid to be ridiculed by those who likes to make a lot of excuses for not learning English like how English should be learned.

For those who don’t agree with this, that’s your own opinion, but when you come across someone in your own country who is from the same background as you who speaks English almost perfectly, don’t be surprised, because it is you that’s being a total fool and not them.

If you truly want to improve yourself, you have to force yourself to improve.

If you truly want to become a better English conversational speaker, you have to force yourself to learn English in a conversational way and practice speaking it as much as you can without quitting.

And if you want to move yourself forward, you have to force yourself to get off of your chair and stop yourself from wasting a lot of time on whatever it is that you are wasting your time on, and make yourself to move forward in the best way that you can without any sense of quitting in any way.

For those who’s really serious about improving their English in a conversational way, feel free to send me a message with a proper explanation on why it is that you would like to become better at speaking in English.
